February 2012 Prayer letter

Hello Everyone,

Please find attached our Feb 2012 Prayer letter.  We are sorry for the format - I am looking into how to do this better.

Orientation Course - Singapore


The past 4 weeks has been a time of learning and adjustment.We have had numerous sessions on Culture shock and stress, Language leaning, Medical issues on the Field, TCK (Third Culture Kid) information, Marriage and self preservation, finance and computer intranet skills.

We have had fun experiences as a family, and some‘confusing’ times of language and culture experiences in
Singapore, but after 2 weeks we felt comfortable and able to get out and about with 4 children in toe.

What an amazing experience it has been at OC, Singapore.What stood out to us the most was the diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences of our fellow OMF missionaries, who are about to go throughout SE Asia to serve God. We, as a family, had the pleasure of hearing each of their testimonies and how God has called them. We hope to share their stories in the coming years, but we are so excited and encouraged to be a part of spreading the Good News! We feel prepared, revitalized and ready for the next step of our journey. Love Pete & Rachael

KIDS KORNER

We have been going to Kidzone, while Mum and Dad go to their sessions. We have learnt lots of things. Jonah, Moses and Joseph and how they went to a new land. We have been on some excursions, the markets were fun and I (Nathan) LOVE trying all the new fruits! The Kidzone leaders taught us about culture, language and hygiene.We have made some great friends with other Third Culture Kids (or TCK’s as we are
called), Daniel is from Korea and he has been teaching us some Korean words. We have had a fun time with our new OMF friends, and we very excited about going to Chiang Mai soon. bye JB and Nathan
