GOING TO THE NATIONS

Peter and Rachael Bosma
Joshua, Nathan, Leanna and Shalese

Journey in mission September, 2010
We recently came across a confronting article in a missionary magazine which prompted us. It was called ‘Going to the Nations’ and it said “We have the keys of the Kingdom. Let’s use them! It’s time to go!” This article stirred in us a new enthusiasm to serve in mission. As a family, God has provided an opportunity, and we are ‘trying out those keys’ in obedience, to serve on the mission field. We are presently going through the application process with OMF, and our desire is to serve in a Dorm Parenting Role in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This will involve learning the language and caring for Missionary Children attending local schools. Due to the Parents Mission placement being distant from schooling, the children need to board in the dorm. In Galatians 6 v10 it says “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Please pray with us, as we travel on this journey in mission.

Prayer points:
- Peter has more opportunities to show Gods love at work
- Rachael has further opportunities to meet with the school mum’s, new from China
- Our house sells in God’s timing and to people who will love our neighbors
- Joshua (J.B.), 12yrs, works hard and continues a positive attitude to his schooling
- Nathan 10yrs, can be a good influence on his friends at school
- Leanna 6yrs has a scripture verse test this term (10 verses in total!)
- Shalese 4yrs, learns to ride her bike without trainer wheels
- A successful and quick recovery for Tony (Rach’s Dad), as he had heart surgery.

Praise points:
- Tony’s heart surgery was very successful, due to prayer, a true miracle!
- A positive time at the recent OMF conference in Sydney recently
- God’s financial provision for the conference trip and the children’s passports
- We were able to get the house on the market when anticipated
